"Kegiatan ini terinspirasi dari Learning from Las Vegas (1972) karya Venturi, Scott-Brown, dan Izenour—sebuah “manifesto retroaktif” yang berpengaruh dan menggabungkan teori dengan studio, kerja lapangan, serta pendekatan interdisipliner. Lokakarya ini menafsirkan kembali pelajaran dari Las Vegas sebagai bagian dari pendekatan transkultural terhadap urbanisme global, dengan membandingkannya dengan genre naratif fleksibel seperti Western, yang telah dibayangkan ulang dalam berbagai konteks budaya.
Dengan berfokus pada permukiman kampung di Bandung, lokakarya ini mengeksplorasi lingkungan urban informal—yang kini dihuni oleh lebih dari satu miliar orang, terutama di Asia—sebagai ruang yang dinamis bagi kreativitas, ketangguhan, dan komunitas. Permukiman ini, yang kerap terpinggirkan dan terancam secara lingkungan maupun hukum, mencerminkan realitas sosial-spasial yang kompleks.

Kegiatan summer course akan dilaksanakan secara tatap muka di Kampus ITB Jatinangor selama dua minggu dan juga terdapat field trip dalam program ini. Prodi yang menyelenggarakan merupakan gabungan antara Prodi S1 Rekayasa Pertanian dan Mikrobiologi. Oleh karena itu, terdapat dua mata kuliah pilihan (BA4111 dan BM4103) untuk ekuivalensi peserta mahasiswa sarjana, masing-masing berjumlah 2 SKS. Selain itu, karena target peserta adalah juga mahasiswa pascasarjana dan profesional. Untuk mahasiswa pascasarjana akan ekuivalensi ke mata kuliah pilihan dari Prodi S2 Biomanajemen (BP6032) dengan jumlah 3 SKS. Seluruh peserta juga akan mendapatkan sertifikat dan transkrip nilai setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini.

Summer Course 2026: Nanotechnology for Environmental and Health Applications
e yang akan diadakan dengan tema " Nanotechnology for
Environmental and Health Applications" diselenggarakan sebagai bagian dari upaya
penguatan kolaborasi akademik perguruan tinggi lintas negara. Kegiatan ini
bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan mendalami aplikasi nanoteknologi dalam
mengatasi tantangan lingkungan dan kesehatan global. Materi yang disampaikan
mencakup topik-topik seperti: pengembangan nanomaterial berbasis bahan alam,
nanomedicine dan drug delivery, biosensor berbasis nanomaterial, penanganan
limbah menggunakan teknologi nano, serta toksikologi dan aspek keamanan dari
nanomaterial. Para peserta mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mengikuti kuliah tamu
dari para pakar internasional, diskusi panel, serta praktikum laboratorium yang
berfokus pada sintesis dan karakterisasi material nano. Di akhir program, peserta
mempresentasikan hasil proyek kelompok
